Police and emergency personnel were dispatched shortly before 2 PM on Monday, April 22nd, for the report of a pedestrian crash involving multiple victims. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center at Oxford Avenue and Levick Street in Northeast Philadelphia. The shopping center is home to a ShopRite.
Officials said that four women and a man were injured by a 46-year-old female driver who was detained by police, who have not said if charges would be filed. An image from Chopper 6 showed a white vehicle with front-end damage.
Police did not say if the victims were hit intentionally or not. The four women were aged 29, 45, 57, and 76, and all were treated for minor injuries. The man was listed at 76 years old, and police said he was uninjured in the crash.
