Road Rage Incident Ends in Pedestrian Crash

A road rage accident turned into a terrifying experience in a Philadelphia neighborhood recently. Police report that the suspect fired a gun at a family after a road rage incident took place. The driver of the vehicle then struck a pedestrian before they fled the scene of the accident.

The driver was apprehended and is in custody after the incident. The incident started at around 10:23 a.m. on Thursday when a man who was traveling with his girlfriend and two children flagged down officers. The man informed police officers that his vehicle was shot at by another driver who had a black handgun. He stated the man shot at the car after a dispute over a lane change.

After firing the weapon, the suspect then struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Tulip and Huntington streets. The driver then fled the scene. Police identified the driver, and they took him into custody.

The pedestrian struck by the car was taken to a hospital and was said to be in stable condition at the time of the news release. Police are working to determine which charges to file.
