Accident Still Under Investigation
The Landsdale Borough Police Department released a statement about the accident that happened at 8:52 pm at the intersection of Whites Road and South Broad Street. That is when police found a white Toyota Corolla had flipped onto its side. The vehicle caused power lines to fall.
There was only one person in the vehicle, and they did not sustain injuries in the crash. However, police reported that the driver displayed signs of impairment upon their arrival. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other charges.
Why Impairment Matters
Drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs have a significantly reduced reaction time. That means they cannot make turns as well as they could otherwise. They may also fail to move through traffic safely, often resulting in serious injuries. Many of these accidents result in other people, including pedestrians and others, suffering serious injuries as a result of the crash.
