Three Teens Caused the Incident
According to the Bristol Township Police Department, rescue teams were called to 701 First Avenue in Croydon after reports that a car had crashed into a home. They found a 2015 black Cadillac Escalade partially inside the occupied home when they arrived.
Those in the home spoke to news crews about the experience. They noted that the floor of the home shook. When one of the parties looked out of their bedroom door, they saw the vehicle at the bottom of the steps in the living room.
Police learned that three teens were inside the SUV when it crashed. They fled the scene, according to witnesses. Police officers from Bristol Township and Bensalem Township searched the area for the teens and found them shortly after. They were taken into custody. Police later learned the SUV was stolen from Newtown Township.
No one was hurt in the accident. However, the fire department was investigating whether the home had structural damage that made it unsafe. A full investigation is underway.
