Investigators Determining Cause of Crash
Initial reports indicate that emergency crews were dispatched at 11:02 pm on Saturday evening to a reported collision at Bethlehem and Hilltown Pikes. The crash involved a Ford pickup truck and a four-door sedan. The incident closed the southbound lanes of Route 309 at Orvilla Road and the northbound lanes at Line Lexington Road to allow emergency crews to work.
Images shared by news stations showed the sedan suffered extensive front-end damage. A person was trapped within the pickup after the crash, and rescuers were able to free them. The trapped person was said to be conscious and alert during the process.
No other information about injuries or the condition of those involved was initially provided. Both vehicles required towing from the scene. The roadway was closed for some time to allow police to investigate. Numerous area rescue teams helped in the accident.
