An Uncertain Cause
Initial data indicate that a car crossed both lanes of traffic on the highway and then struck the center median. It veered off from that point into the roadway and struck a tree. The impact of the accident caused the vehicle to roll onto its side. Crews eventually had to use a crane to lift the car off the embankment and onto a town truck for removal.
Police did not provide an update on what caused the driver to lose control. They also did not state if the driver suffered any injuries in the accident. Images from the accident showed the vehicle with significant body damage to the entire driver’s side.
