Breaking Down What Occurred at the Accident
The accident took place at about 10:15 pm on Saturday evening, according to the New Jersey State Police. That is when one person driving west on the Expressway was involved in a crash with two other vehicles. That driver pulled over after the accident and got out of the car. As they were walking westbound on the highway lane, the driver of a Nissan SUV struck the individual. That occurred in the left lane of traffic. A Kia vehicle then struck the Nissan in a chain reaction.
The driver who pulled out onto the roadway died from the injuries sustained. There were three passengers in the Nissan, and the driver and two passengers in the Kia were all taken to the hospital. They are said to have minor injuries. A full investigation is still underway.
