Tragic Accidents Play Out
Rescuers were called to the scene of an accident on the grass shoulder of Railroad Blvd in Buena Vista Township on Saturday evening. When they arrived, they found the driver of a Polaris 250 ATV had lost control of the vehicle and struck trees. It is not clear what caused the driver to lose control, but a young passenger suffered injuries that resulted in the fatality.
The driver was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. Police are investigating and have determined the ATV involved in the crash was not intended to be driven with a passenger to ride. They did not release the age of the child or whether charges were expected in the matter.
