Authorities reported that an accident happened just prior to 4:15 pm near Black Horse Pike and Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township on Monday. Breaking Down the Motorcycle Accident
When making that left turn, the SUV driver pulled out right in front of a 2017 Honda motorcycle. That driver was heading southbound on Tilton Road. The motorcycle rider tried to brake and then swerve, but ultimately struck the driver’s side of the Hummer SUV. That caused the motorcycle rider to be thrown from the bike, causing critical injuries.
The motorcycle rider was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s trauma center in Atlantic City. The driver of the Hummer reported minor injuries but was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Motorcycle Accident Risks
It is very common for motorcycle accidents to occur when drivers fail to see the rider or fail to yield the right of way to the rider. When this happens, the risk of serious and life-threatening injuries to the rider is very high.
