Gathering Information at the Scene
Police stated the driver of the Toyota reported the truck was tailgating him for some time and was operating at unsafe speeds. The truck attempted to go around the car numerous times. The driver was able to obtain the license plate of the vehicle. Police tracked down the car and found it was operated by Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
After visiting the location, police were given the rental agreement. They learned a woman rented the vehicle and no additional drivers were added to the rental. The woman reported her son had taken the vehicle, but she was no longer in communication with him. Police reached out to the son. The son reported that he did not stay at the scene of the accident because the other driver was “acting weird” and stated the driver was “very aggressive.”
