News reports out of Ardmore, PA, revealed that an older bike rider was facing serious injuries after a car struck them. According to the initial information, the bike rider was traveling north on School Lane in Ardmore on Sunday afternoon at around 4 pm. The driver of a 2018 Buick Enclave traveling south lost control of the vehicle. They veered to the left and struck the bike rider.
The bicyclist was taken to Lankenau Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital with reportedly minor injuries. That driver was treated and released. Inexperienced Drivers Can Cause Serious Accidents
The driver of the Buick was just 18 years old. It is unclear whether the driver's age or experience played any role in the accident. However, it is not uncommon for younger, less experienced drivers to suffer serious injuries in car accidents due to making mistakes.
Common mistakes include misjudging distance, failing to yield the right of way, or driving too fast. When accidents like this happen, victims can suffer serious injuries.
