A Full Investigation Is Underway
According to initial reports, the incident took place at 8:22 am. That is when a dark-colored, newer model Mazda vehicle turned right from Green Street onto West Main Street. Video that was obtained by the local news station shows a car entering the path of a male pedestrian who was in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was walking away from the train station at the time. They seemed to kick or push away from the vehicle before they were able to regain their balance and continue across the street. The pedestrian was obviously angry and frustrated, but did not seem to fall as a result of being hit.
It is not known if the pedestrian was hurt in the accident. It is also not known if the car stopped to engage with the pedestrian after the accident. The driver was described as a female with pink or red hair, but has yet to be fully identified.
Local police received a copy of the camera footage. This incident comes just two days after two children were struck by a truck at Cowpath and Overbrook Roads in Hatfield Township.
