Numerous calls came in to dispatch in Bucks County around the same time. The Bucks County emergency dispatch indicated that the initial crash occurred in the southbound lanes on Route 309 at about 7:36 pm. A fire was called in at the same location at 7:06 am. The Chalfont Fire Company responded to that call.
When police arrived, they found the crash located at milepost 20 between Bethlehem Pike and Fairhill Road. They also found the vehicle to be on the side of the roadway. Several other rescue teams were called in. However, upon arrival, the patient, who is believed to be the vehicle's driver, refused transport.
Around the same time, another collision occurred just up Route 309 at the Route 113 ramp to Route 309 northbound. The roadway was closed down for some time while crews worked to clear the scene and provide medical support. A full investigation into what occurred was underway by local teams.
