Serious Injuries and Rescue Required
When police and rescuers arrived, they found a single driver in the sedan and two people in the passenger truck, all of whom sustained serious injuries. Two of those who were hurt were taken to Paoli Hospital, while the third was taken to Lankenau Medical Center for care.
The accident closed down the roadway for several hours. The crash was near Russell Elementary School, but police said no students, staff, or buses were involved in the incident. Photos from the accident show the pickup truck sustained significant damage to the front driver side and windshield, and airbag deployment and damage to the front of the sedan. It is unclear what caused the driver to cross into the other driver’s right of way.
