A crash took place just after 4:30 am on an early Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Susquehanna and Fitzwatertown Roads in Upper Dublin. Reports indicated two people were hospitalized.
Reports indicate that an ambulance collided with another vehicle. The ambulance was transporting a patient to Abington Hospital at the time. That is when it struck another car, causing extensive damage that required emergency crews to cut away at the wreckage to free someone.
Speak with a Philadelphia car accident attorney at Kwartler Manus following a crash.
Determining Fault in a Complex Accident
There is footage, though it's challenging to see, that shows the ambulance ending up in a homeowner's yard. The homeowner states that crashes at the intersection were common. Information from the police indicates that the ambulance crew members were not hurt.
The two people hospitalized are the patient already in the ambulance and the driver of the second vehicle. Both people were in stable condition. It is unclear whether the patient in the ambulance sustained any additional injuries.
It is not clear who failed to yield the right of way in the accident. Residents believe that visibility and speeding drivers are common concerns in the area. Police continue to investigate using witness statements, video footage, and other resources to determine fault.
