Details of the Dangerous Crash
That is when police say a 17-year-old was driving along the 300 block of Trenton Road when they lost control. The driver said they fell asleep while driving, veered off the roadway, and then struck the house. There was a person in the home at the time of the accident, but they were not hurt. The teen was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The damage was significant enough that the Falls Township Fire Marshal determined it was unsafe, with severe structural damage. Police are still investigating what happened.
Falling Asleep Can Happen to Anyone
Accidents can happen for many reasons, including falling asleep. A driver may not completely nod off and fall into a deep sleep, but they may close their eyes for longer periods and lose focus on the road. IN some cases, these accidents are just as dangerous as those involving intoxicated driving.
Victims Deserve Justice
Even when the driver falls asleep, the injuries and losses others may experience are significant. Drivers are often traveling at full speed in these moments.
