Police identified the driver and provided surveillance video of the accident. The video clearly shows the car slamming into the Second District police building. The doors fly inward, and people in the lobby are rushing to safety. The video is both terrifying and shocking. Numerous people were inside the building at the time of the accident.
The driver of the car was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, six counts of simple assault, six counts of recklessly endangering another person, one count of causing or risking catastrophe, one count of institutional vandalism, and a count for possession of an instrument of crime.
