Tragic Accident
The bike rider died at the scene. It was not clear what type of bike the rider was on at the time of the accident. The driver of the car was another teen, and they failed to stop at the crash. However, video from a resident's window showed that two people were looking at the damage to the vehicle at the time of the accident before they began walking away.
The accident, which took place on Lanes Mills Road between Michigan and Pennsylvania Avenues, is still under investigation. Police reported they located the driver of the car and arrested them on charges of knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in death.
