
A person is facing charges after they crashed into a police cruiser in West Philadelphia, according to police. The initial information about the accident indicates a 2016 Tesla Model X vehicle was driving along the sidewalk near the 4900 block of Spruce Street. Police then said the driver refused officers' commands to park and exit the car, and instead continued northbound on 50th Street. The person then struck a white 2014 Chevrolet Impala at the intersection of 50th and Walnut streets. It continued until it crashed into a building at 5001 Walnut Street, causing serious damage. The driver then fled the scene on foot. The driver of the Impala was hurt in the accident but said to be in stable condition. No police officers were hurt.
