The news out of Philadelphia described a terrifying situation in which a stolen pickup truck crashed into a Philadelphia area neighborhood on a Tuesday afternoon. The truck slammed into numerous vehicles before coming to a stop at an elementary school playground. The incident took place just before the kids were dismissed for the day. The driver just missed a school crossing guard. Talk to the Philadelphia car accident attorneys at Kwartler Manus today.
An Ongoing Disaster
What's more, the driver was later determined to have been on a multi-district crime spree, according to police. That started in the Kingsessing section of the city when the driver tried to carjack a person at the 6300 block of Grays Avenue. The driver failed to do so, then jumped into a Carusone Construction utility truck that was running near the intersection of 62nd and Reedland streets. That vehicle jumped the curb and ran a red light at 55th Street and Kingsessing Avenue before being T-boned by another vehicle. This triggered a chain reaction that led to a crash with two more vehicles before the vehicle finally came to a stop in the playground. Police found surveillance video showing what the driver was doing and how they navigated through residential streets before crashing into the playground fencing.
