Person Dies in Accident in Philadelphia

Police were called to the scene of an accident on the 4500 block of Castor Avenue in Philadelphia at around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a series of damaged vehicles.

Investigations found that the driver of the pickup truck hit a tree while driving the wrong way on the road. They then slammed into several parked cars along the 1200 block of Adams Avenue. The driver took off from there until finally coming to a stop at Kinsey and Tackawanna streets.

When it came to a stop, investigators said that a passenger tried to get out of the car and walk away. However, they collapsed and later died at Temple Hospital. Police are unsure of what caused the incident to start.

Loss of Life of a Passenger

The family members of a person who died as a result of a driver’s negligence have the right to pursue legal action. This often means holding the driver and their insurance accountable for the loss. These are challenging cases, especially when the fault is not fully understood or the circumstances are confusing. Even if criminal charges apply, that does nothing for the surviving family members suffering.
