Emergency workers were called to the scene of a two-car accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at about 1:21 a.m. Initial reports indicated that a car overturned on the highway as a result of the crash. The accident occurred at mile marker 28, and investigators are looking for answers as to what caused the incident.

Car accidents late at night may be due to numerous factors including fatigued or intoxicated drivers, poor visibility, and reckless driving. Though this case’s details are unknown, it is wise for victims in car accidents like this to pursue legal action against those responsible by hiring a car accident attorney to guide them.

A Sedan Overturned in the Middle of the Road

According to crews arriving on the scene, a black Volkswagen sedan overturned on the roadway after colliding with a sedan. The sedan suffered serious damage, and the airbags on the vehicle were deployed at that time. This led to a shutdown of all three southbound lanes for about 45 minutes while workers cleared the incident.

Two people were taken to hospitals, but there was no insight into their condition at the time of the news release. The Towamencin Fire Company and Volunteer Medical Services of Lansdale assisted with the incident.
