Rescuers were called to the scene of an accident in Strawberry Mansion in Philadelphia. Upon arrival, they found two people in an overturned minivan. The minivan seemed to have hit three parked cars before it overturned.

This occurred near the intersection of 28th and Lehigh. As police were investigating the accident, they learned that the white Honda minivan involved in the accident had been reported stolen. They also found two guns located within the vehicle.

The crash was serious enough to cause injuries. Both parties within the vehicle were extracted and then taken to the hospital for care. It is not clear how extensive their injuries are. Both were expected to survive the accident.

Seeking Answers on Crash Causes

Police did not report additional insight into what contributed to this accident. However, they are investigating by using local video footage, witness statements, and other data to determine what occurred.

In an accident like this, where the minivan overturned, it is likely that the driver was operating at a high rate of speed. Police will use accident scene information to better understand other factors that contributed to the incident to determine who was at fault.
