A motorcycle rider lost their life in a crash with an SUV, according to police reports. The incident happened in Gloucester Township at about 3:48 p.m. That is when a motorcycle traveling on Sicklerville Road collided with an SUV at the intersection of Berlin Cross Keys Road at Sicklerville Road.

It is not clear who had the right of way. However, reports indicate that the driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, and the motorcycle rider lost their life at the scene.

Motorcycle Accidents At Intersections Are Common

Intersections are dangerous for everyone, but they are particularly worrisome to motorcycle riders. As the rider is moving through the intersection, it is very common for a turning vehicle not to see them or yield to them. Because the motorcycle is smaller and harder to see, especially if there are distractions for the driver, most vehicles often fail to notice the bike before a collision occurs.

There are various potential causes for these accidents, and not all of them are the other driver’s fault. Because there is so much at risk, drivers and riders should hire a dedicated attorney to help them navigate their rights in such cases.
