Road rage is an incident in which drivers act with hostility towards those on the road with them. That is what occurred in a recent accident in Bucks County. News reports indicate that a driver struck a person at a PA gas station intentionally.
Reports indicate that the driver of an SUV hit another driver at a Bucks County gas station at around 11:30 a.m. in Upper Southampton Township. The driver said they were driving along Street Road when a road rage incident occurred with the other driver. Both parties pulled into the gas station and parked their vehicles.
One driver went into the gas station to make a purchase and returned to find the other driver yelling at them. That driver then exited the parking lot, returned, and drove at the other driver at a high rate of speed, hitting her leg and knocking the person to the ground. The driver then got out of the vehicle, pointed at another person, and then got back into the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police reviewed footage from the gas station of the encounter and were able to determine who the driver was. They arrested that party and charged them with aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle, simple assault, and several other charges.
