Police responded to a call for a stolen vehicle in Tinicum Township, Pennsylvania, recently. The initial call indicated that a vehicle was stolen from Drexel Hill. The owner of the vehicle saw four people going through his car outside of his home, indicating they took his wallet, keys, and bulletproof vest.
The individuals got into a stolen Kia SUV to escape as the reporting individual chased them. They reportedly then ditched the Kia and stole a black Dodge Durango in Prospect Park Borough. They crashed the vehicle on Governor Printz Blvd. near the Delta Hotels by Marriott. After they crashed the vehicle, the four people ran from it and jumped into a pond in the hopes of evading police. All four were arrested after a massive police presence.
In this incident, the driver was found to be an 18-year-old with a warrant out of Philadelphia for receiving stolen property. The passenger was also 18 years old and had a warrant out for his arrest from Montgomery County for theft and larceny. The two others were juveniles. Police plan to charge all four with numerous felonies.
