Details About the Fatal Philadelphia Crash

Police were dispatched to the 5300 block of Ogontz Avenue in the Logan section on Wednesday night shortly after 8:45 PM for the report of a two vehicle crash. Upon arrival, crews found a red Nissan Versa and a black Lexus both with heavy damage.

According to police, the Nissan Versa was being driven by a 27-year-old male southbound on Ogontz Avenue when it was struck by the Lexus, which was traveling northbound. The driver of the Versa was transported to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced.

The female passenger in the Versa was also transported to Einstein, where she was listed in critical condition. Police did not comment on whether the driver of the Lexus was injured or if they face any charges in the crash.

Philadelphia police continue to investigate the accident and ask any witnesses to contact them with the details.
