Cyclist Struck in Montgomery Township

A cyclist accident occurred at the intersection of County Line and Doylestown roads in Montgomery Township on a recent Thursday afternoon. A man, crossing the street, was struck by a silver Lexus at around 3:14 p.m.. The man was taken to Grand View Hospital with serious injuries, though he was talking to responders right after the accident.

Bike Riders Are at a High Risk of Injury

Riding a bike is one of the most important and basic forms of transportation, including in areas like Montgomery Township. Yet, riders are often at risk of serious injuries because of drivers who are not paying attention, speeding, or otherwise engaging in reckless operation. A quick text message or looking at the navigational screen is enough for a driver to miss a person riding their bike on the road. Because riders have no protection, they often suffer serious, life-threatening injuries.
