Police reports indicate that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the Kensington section of Philadelphia at around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday. The victim was struck by a driver who then fled the scene along the 1800 block of East Allegheny Avenue.
When rescuers arrived at the location, they found the victim unresponsive in the roadway with significant head trauma. The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital and died from the injuries.
