A multi-truck accident happened on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County on an early Saturday morning, according to police reports. The investigation is still ongoing, but initial information indicates the collision occurred around 2:20 a.m. in the southbound inner lanes near milepost 43.2 in Westampton Township.

Rescuers were called to the crash scene and found two trucks involved. Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene to handle the intense blaze. As they worked, they learned one person was trapped in one of the trucks.  Responders were able to locate the driver, but they suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.
