A tragic accident took place in Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania, that left three people dead. The accident involved a father and two sons who were struck by an Amtrak train. The accident took place at the tracks near Beaver and Prospect Streets, located at the Bristol Station.

After investigating the accident, police believe that the father and one son were at the tracks to try to save the other son from taking his own life. Police ruled that the two died as a result of an accident, while the third died as a result of a suicide.

The details of what occurred and why continue to be under investigation, but the family was well known in the area, with the father being active in social services. The Amtrak vehicle had 236 people on board at the time of the accident and was traveling from Boston to Richmond, Virginia. No one on board the Amtrak was hurt.
