Police were recently called to the scene of an accident in the West Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. According to reports, an SUV crashed into the Philadelphia creek at the 7700 block of Cresheim Valley Road. The driver was said to be okay even after the vehicle plunged down the steep incline and landed in the creek below. The incident took place at the very same location where an accident had previously occurred.

When rescuers arrived, they found two vehicles in the creek, one of which had been there since a crash that damaged the guardrail. The vehicle was never removed. The second driver left the scene of the crash after the accident. The car, though, was submerged.

According to the driver of the vehicle, they lost control and slid off the road into the creek. They believe that if the guardrail were there, there would be less of a risk of this incident occurring. The crashes are still being investigated by police, who have not provided any additional information.
