Rescuers were called to the scene of the first accident around noon. It occurred at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Mainland Road. That incident alone involved three vehicles. At least one person was trapped and had to be extracted. A total of five people suffered injuries, with one having a reported head laceration. Unconfirmed reports of a young child being involved were also circulating. At least one person was taken to an area hospital for help.

The second accident occurred 15 minutes later at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Carroll Road. This was reportedly a two-vehicle crash with at least two people trapped. Emergency workers had to transport people to the hospital as well.

Police have yet to release any information about the cause of these accidents or the conditions of those involved.
