Details of the South Philadelphia Crash
Officials received calls for help at around 2:30 am. When Philadelphia police arrived, they found a Toyota Tacoma truck that had struck a Ford Mustang before flipping over. It then continued on and struck three additional vehicles.
Police were able to obtain additional information from the neighborhood doorbell camera video, which showed the truck driver exiting and then running away. The driver then came back. The driver looked for something, then seemed to grab the back of the truck to flip it back over. The driver attempted to do so several additional times before running off.
Police Are Investigating
The owner of the Mustang was involved in a sideswipe incident at the same location several months earlier. The car seems totaled at this point. Police are still investigating the incident.
