The driver of a Corvette caused several accidents in Prospect Park, PA, on a recent Monday morning. According to news reports, the driver was captured speeding down Chester Pike near Summit Avenue by local business camera footage. Along the route, the driver caused several crashes, causing five people to suffer injuries.

The video showed the accidents occurring and then another car careening off the road as a result. That vehicle crashed into a window and eventually landed on its side. It also struck a gas line, causing gas to flow out into the roadway. In all, seven vehicles were hit in the event, but luckily, all five drivers were not seriously injured. Two people needed to be extracted from a vehicle using the saws and jaws of life, rescuers stated. Two parked cars were also damaged in the incident.

Why Speeding Is Dangerous

In an accident like this, it is easy to see how speeding can be a life-threatening event. Not only does it mean the vehicle is likely to cause significant damage, but high rates of speed are hard to control. In a sports vehicle, that can prove even more challenging. For victims, it can mean life-changing outcomes.
