Police report that an officer was struck several times by a suspect in a vehicle in Plymouth Township, PA. It all happened in a hotel parking lot at around 12:39 p.m. Initial reports indicate law enforcement was called to the scene about an erratic driver.

When officers arrived at the location near Hickory and Narcissa roads, they found a white Mercedes SUV. The driver of the vehicle then intentionally struck a police car. It hit another officer several additional times. At that point, an officer discharged their weapon. The vehicle then fled the scene. Other officers were injured when the driver struck their cars.

According to the additional news information, police have had contact with the suspect four or five times in the last week. That occurred in both Montgomery and Chester counties. After this incident, the suspect was taken into custody, though he needed medical attention at Abington Hospital first. It is not clear what started the incident or if the victim was hit when the officer discharged the weapon. This investigation is underway, and more information may be released later.
