A recent car accident involving a police car did not cause injuries but did involve a hit-and-run charge. News reports indicate that a driver of a red 2007 Chrysler Sebring was pulled over by police to conduct a traffic stop. It is not clear why the driver was pulled over. However, police reported the driver reversed the car and then made contact with the police cruiser before speeding off. As the driver sped off, they struck an officer on the driver’s side.

No one was hurt in the accident. Police found the Chrysler later along the 2800 block of North 8th Street, where it was involved in another crash. The driver fled the vehicle after that crash. Police tracked the driver down and placed them in custody for the hit-and-run crash. The driver is facing assault charges.

Seeking Legal Help After a Driver Causes You Injuries

That means building a civil case. The criminal case does not offer the victim any compensation. But hiring your own attorney will provide you with the peace of mind you need.
