According to news reports, a Philadelphia Police Department cruiser was involved in a rollover crash around 5:30 am Saturday, May 25th in the Torresdale section of the city. The incident occured at the intersection of Frankford and Grant avenues.

Initial reports say that a 2008 Lexus was traveling in the northbound lanes of Frankford Avenue when it struck the police cruiser in the intersection. A spokesperson for the department said that the officer was transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital with undisclosed injuries and listed in stable condition.

The Lexus driver refused medical care at the crash scene. Police did not disclose the name of the injured officer. Police also did not say if any charges would be filed as a result of the crash. They also did not say if the driver of the Lexus had cooperated with the on-scene investigation.
