The police officers had stopped a vehicle in Nether Providence when, just a few minutes later, another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended the police cruiser. Both troopers were taken to Riddle Hospital for evaluation and treatment. They were released from the hospital later.
According to investigators, the driver who struck the cruiser was driving under the influence of alcohol and demonstrated impairment. That driver was arrested and transported to the Media station for charges and arraignment. The driver was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and aggravated assault, among other charges.
Drunk Driver Accidents and Getting Compensation
For those who suffer injuries from a drunk driver’s actions, it can seem challenging to seek a claim. If the driver has insurance, you can file a claim for your losses. If they do not have insurance, your own uninsured motorist coverage may help you. Getting the insurance company to pay you fairly can be a challenge.
