Swamp Road in Buckingham was shut down after a truck overturned on the roadway. Truck traffic continues to increase in various areas of the city. On this day, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Lingohocken Fire Company and the Northampton Township Fire Department’s R3 unit had to respond to the 1500 block of Swamp Road for an accident. Initial reports indicated that a driver was trapped in the truck, but rescuers found this not to be the case upon arrival.

What they did find was an overturned quarry truck. There was no indication of what caused the truck to overturn, although it was operating on an unpaved area. It appears that material has spilled onto the nearby roadway. No injuries were reported in this accident.

Commercial Trucks And Accidents

When commercial trucks, including dump trucks, are on the road, there is often a risk of serious damage if the truck driver loses control. This can happen for many reasons, including driver distraction or inexperience. In some cases, equipment failures or tire blowouts can occur suddenly.

Determining who is at fault can be a challenging task. It may be the truck driver, the trucking company, or a third party who improperly loaded the truck. Because numerous factors are involved in any commercial truck accident resulting in injuries, it is essential always to seek medical attention. Then, seek legal support.

At Kwartler Manus, our truck accident lawyers in Buckingham Township, PA, work closely with victims to help them determine who is truly at fault and provide guidance on how to recover fair damages.
