Orvilla Road between Koffel and Welsch roads in Hatfield Township was closed after a one-car crash. Reports indicate a maroon sedan collided with a utility pole at the 400 block of Orvilla. That force caused the vehicle to overturn and snapped the pole. The pole ended up on top of the vehicle. Workers responded to the scene to help the driver.

There was no update on the condition of the driver at the initial news reporting. However, the incident reported that live wires were brought down in the crash and warned residents and those along the roadway to avoid the area.

Causes of a One-Car Crash

There was no insight provided by the police about the cause of this one-car crash initially. However, various factors can contribute to such accidents. Speed can play a role, for example, especially if there is enough impact force to cause the vehicle to overturn.

Other times, the accident may occur as a result of the driver swerving to avoid another car or animal in the roadway. A medical emergency may have caused a loss of the vehicle. Road conditions, other drivers, and a wide range of other factors could play a role in an accident. Sometimes it is not the fault of the driver.
