Emergency personnel were dispatched to Route 70 in Southampton Township near Burrs Mill Road just before Noon on Tuesday for a motorcycle accident. According to a press release from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, a state trooper was conducting a routine patrol when their marked cruiser and motorcycle collided.

The motorcycle rider was transported to Virtua Mount Holly hospital, where he was pronounced around 12:45 PM. The identity of the victim has yet to be released. The trooper did not suffer any injuries in the crash.
