On a recent morning, the Chester Fire Department responded to a home in the 800 block of Elsinore Place on a report that a carbon monoxide incident was occurring. A few minutes after arriving, the fire truck (a pumper) collided with a passenger vehicle that was traveling at Ninth and Barclay streets.
The passenger vehicle’s driver was hurt in the accident, and fire crews who were not hurt aided in supporting that patient’s needs. The driver was then taken to an area hospital.
