PA State Troopers and other emergency personnel were dispatched to I-95 North in the area of the Walt Whitman Bridge and Columbus Boulevard in South Philly for the report of an accident around 2:40 AM Sunday.

Officers arrived to find two vehicles that collided head on in the Northbound lanes. A vehicle traveling the wrong direction, southbound on the northbound side, hit a vehicle being driven by a 21-year-old woman. The woman died as a result of the crash. The driver of the wrong way vehicle, a 44-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital.
