Dump Truck Overturns: Details About the Crash

Police and fire personnel were dispatched just after 6 AM Monday morning for the report of an overturned dump truck. The accident happened on the ramp from 476 south to 95 south. The incident led to all lanes of travel being closed for upwards of four hours, as traffic wasn’t able to resume until just after 11 AM.

The dump truck did spill its load, which is what led to the hours-long closure of the roads as crews worked to clean up the debris after the truck was uprighted and towed from the scene. There was no word on whether or not the truck driver suffered injuries in the accident.

Drivers were being diverted to I-95 north from the southbound lanes to traverse around the crash scene. The Pennsylvania State Police assisted with traffic control during the incident.
