Woman Killed in Feltonville Hit-and-Run

A devastating accident took place in North Philly’s Feltonville area. That is where police report that a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday night. The incident took place at the intersection of C and Ruscomb streets. Rescuers arrived on the scene to find the pedestrian already deceased. A passerby called the police to tell them that a person’s body was on the roadway.

Upon further investigation, police released information that they believe a gray sedan struck the individual at around 11:40 p.m. that night. The pedestrian had just entered the crosswalk at the time of the incident.  Police located several surveillance cameras in the area and are processing them to determine if there is any information they can use to find the hit-and-run driver.

Neighbors in the area say this is not the first time cars have been speeding down the road. Another person was struck by such a car several years ago, resulting in significant injuries. Speak with a Philadelphia pedestrian accident attorney following the loss of a loved one in a crash.
