Upper Saucon Township Wreck Injures Three People

A car accident took place at around 9:30 p.m. in Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania. The serious incident resulted in three people suffering injuries.

Investigators are still piecing together what occurred. According to reports, a driver lost control of their vehicle along the 18000 block of Flint Hill Road. In doing so, the driver went off the side of the road and struck a utility pole. It took teams over an hour to rescue one of the people from the vehicle due to their being trapped.

Ultimately, three people were transported to the hospital for care. It is not clear how serious those individuals’ injuries were at the time of the crash. Police continue to investigate, but have noted that speed was likely a factor in the cause of the crash.

Why Speeding Matters in Car Accidents

A driver who is speeding down the road is less likely to be able to stop suddenly or move out of the way when another, potentially slow-moving vehicle, is on the road with them. Speeding also makes a vehicle far more challenging to maneuver. A small alteration of the steering wheel can cause the driver to rapidly lose control over the vehicle, slamming into other vehicles or going off the road.
