A truck pulling a trailer left the roadway in an accident that occurred recently in Doylestown Township, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred just after 10:00 a.m. on Edison Road, near Quarry Road. When rescuers arrived, they had to scale down a steep embankment to reach the truck, which ended up at the base of a stone bridge.
The truck landed in a creek bed, and the truck driver was trapped within the vehicle at the time. Rescuers freed the driver, and they were transported to the hospital. It is not known how bad the driver’s injuries were. Police were investigating, but at the time of the news release, they did not know what caused the driver to leave the roadway.
The Risk of Serious Injuries
One of the most important reasons for victims of such accidents to insist on a full investigation is the extent of injuries possible in a case like this. Drivers may face serious injuries ranging from traumatic brain injuries to spinal cord damage, loss of mobility, and emotional trauma. These injuries take a long time to heal and, in some cases, cause long-term outcomes and catastrophic losses.
In some cases, these accidents occur due to the driver’s negligence. At other times, poor road conditions, mechanical failures, or intoxication may be to blame. Finding answers is not always easy. That is why it can be so important to seek legal help from a local car accident lawyer, such as one from our team at Kwartler Manus.
