A SEPTA bus and a car were involved in a collision in the West Poplar neighborhood of Philadelphia on a recent evening just before 11 p.m. Police state that the SEPTA bus was traveling on West Girard Avenue at the time when it collided with a black Nissan Altima. The collision took place at the corner of North 13th Street. There were passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
At least three people were injured in the collision, requiring medical attention, and they were transported to area hospitals for help. The bus itself sustained little damage, but the Nissan Altima’s airbags deployed, indicating a significant impact. The Altima also had significant right-side damage.
SEPTA and the police have not reported who was at fault in this accident or whether the police transported to the hospital were on the bus or in the vehicle. The case is still under investigation.
