Philly Police Officer Hurt in Crash

Police reports indicate that a Philadelphia officer was hurt when they were responding to a call. Initial reports indicate that the officer and partner were traveling southbound on Roosevelt Boulevard to respond to an emergency call. That is when the patrol car was struck by a civilian car that was heading eastbound on Pratt Street. This crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the Crescentville area of the city.

The police officer was hospitalized after the crash with a legal injury. That officer was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and was said to be in stable condition. The other police officer and the civilian suffered only minor injuries.

Investigating Accidents with Police Vehicles

When an accident occurs involving a police vehicle, it may seem like the other driver is automatically at fault. We do not have any information about who was at fault in this case. However, in situations like this, it can be helpful to have a third-party investigation handled on your behalf, especially if you believe that the police officer was at fault.

By working with a car accident lawyer in Philadelphia, you’ll be able to build a better understanding of who was at fault and have improved peace of mind. Most of the time, the police are acting responsibly, but you should still understand what your rights are.
